Why Iron Mountain Stock Rallied 10% in May

Shares of Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM) jumped 10.1% in May, according to data provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence. A big catalyst was the real estate investment trust's (REIT) strong first-quarter results. Iron Mountain got off to a "strong start to 2025," commented CEO William Meaney in the REIT's first-quarter earnings press release. He noted that the company delivered "another record performance in Revenue, Adjusted EBITDA, and AFFO in the first quarter and above our expectations." Its revenue rose 8%, its adjusted EBITDA increased 12%, and its AFFO rose 8% (and by 6% per share).
